MAIDEN helped tear down those walls in every sense, not only structurally but also psychologically.

This is a small apartment of only 35 square meters, in a small neighborhood in the west of Amsterdam, where an old mill still stands. A great need, a couple with a child, a dog and a cat. Particular details that did not need to be dismantled such as the floor and the boiserie around the doors and windows. Tight budget and small spaces.
I have arranged the two areas on different levels, so that the bedroom is raised and separated from the rest, creating more space. This is one of the projects that has demolished that wall in every sense. Not only in the context of the project but also psychologically.

A wall is a limit, it hinders the vision and we know that fear, terror and madness reside in the limits.
We wanted to tear down this wall, optimizing the space and well-being of that limit.
