INTERIOR STYLING TINY LOFT 2020/ Amsterdam, Jordaan

This tiny studio is located in The Jordaan is a district in the citycenter of Amsterdam. The Jordaan was originally a poor district, with small houses and many inhabitants. The name of the district, Jordaan, is supposed to come from the French word for garden: Jardin. Many streets in this area are named after plants and flowers. However, others say it is named after the Jordan-river, because of the many Jews that fled to Amsterdam and lived in the area.

In the past, comfort was represented by huge rooms, very high ceilings and sumptuous furnishings, in contrast to small, low and dark houses. Today large houses are not longer as sought after as they used to be. We are moving towards the home of ever smaller dimensions and it is therefore necessary to think of giving each activity carried out at home its own specific area.

THE HOUSES FOLLOW US.

The furniture in all rooms tends to conform. Now the kitchens and the bathrooms are designed according to the same principle and material. In this environment, everything has a well-defined function based on the space in which it was placed.
