TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF.
My Name is Alina Asayonak, I’m a creative based in Amsterdam, I’m passionate about handcrafts and I work on my candle project and sometimes I’m also a photographer. I’m a founder of Forma Esse in Amsterdam, based creative studio focused on handcrafting candles using only natural ingredients. I start my business in 2023 but I’ve been creating candles since July 2022. I like to use traditional techniques when layer by layer we dip the candles.The technique is slow and takes its place on Roman, 500 BCE. This is what makes these candles special.

My apartment is definitely a reflection of me, but I’m still working on it and constantly improving.
YOUR FAVORITE OBJECT?
I don’t have a specific favorite object but I’m obsessed with vintage lamps, also an Interior design or travel magazines that I love to collect and go through them if I need a pinch of inspiration.
WHAT INSPIRE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU CREATE?
When I create, I love to bring a feeling of grounding and calmness. Natural/ earth materials help me with it. I think about the importance of creating and having a “safe space” when you can recharge and feel yourself.

I think that is a beautiful project with inspiring portfolio. And Studio Kai is a great example of Interior Design professional that I had a chance to experience myself when I visited the studio.
